The best bill manager apps in the UAE

Last checked

Quick answer

To pay several UAE bills in one place, e& money pays the widest list of billers it names (DEWA, ADDC, AADC, Etihad Water & Electricity, du, Etisalat, Salik and more), DubaiNow pays Dubai bills, and TAMM pays Abu Dhabi's. Your bank's app (ADCB, Emirates NBD) also pays the main utilities. For reminders before a bill is due, TAMM and e& money notify you about bills they can see. Rasid is different: it does not pay bills, but finds your DEWA, SEWA, du and e& bills in Gmail and reminds you three days before each one is due. It is in early access on iPhone.

Three ways to manage UAE bills

Pay each bill in its provider's app

The DEWA, du and e& apps pay their own bills and can set up auto pay. They are free and official, but you need one app for each provider, and only DEWA's app lists reminders.

Pay many bills from one app

e& money, DubaiNow, TAMM and Payit pay bills from several providers in one place, and so do bank apps like ADCB and Emirates NBD. You add each bill once, by account number or as a beneficiary, then pay from there. TAMM and e& money also notify you about bills that are due.

Get reminded, then pay where you like

Rasid and FinArt do not move money. Rasid finds your bills in the providers' own emails and reminds you before each is due; you pay on the provider's page or in any app above. FinArt reminds you about payments you set up, and reads SMS and email on its paid plan.

The apps one by one

e& money

A digital wallet licensed by the UAE Central Bank, from e&. It pays the longest list of billers on this page, from Etisalat and du to DEWA, ADDC, AADC, Etihad Water & Electricity and Salik, and you can pay all due bills you saved in one go. It says it "doesn't charge any fees for bill payments", though some billers add their own fee (for example 7 AED for Lootah Gas). Sign up with your Emirates ID and mobile number. Auto payments are "available soon".

DubaiNow

Dubai's official government app. Its App Store listing names DEWA, Etisalat, du, FEWA, Empower and Dubai Municipality bills, Salik and NOL top-ups and fines. Its pages do not say whether it reminds you before a bill is due.

TAMM

Abu Dhabi's official government services app. It pays ADNOC, Etisalat, du and TAQA utility bills, fines, parking and tolls, and its My Utilities section "notifies you of your due bills". Log in with UAE PASS or register in the app.

Payit

FAB's digital account. It pays Etisalat, du, Salik, Nol, school fees and utility bills, and needs no bank account. You register a bill before you can pay it. Its own pages differ on which utilities it covers.

DEWA, du and e& apps

Each pays its own bills only. The DEWA app lists notifications and reminders and sends three reminders before a disconnection. The du and e& apps offer auto pay with a card; their pages do not mention reminders before the due date.

ADCB and Emirates NBD

If you bank with them, their apps pay the main UAE utilities and telecoms once you add each biller. Emirates NBD offers auto payments. Neither page mentions reminders before a bill is due.

FinArt

An expense and budget tracker with bill reminders. It does not pay bills and does not name UAE providers. Reading SMS, Apple Pay and email is on its paid plan, and its price "varies for each country".

Rasid

An iPhone app that keeps your subscriptions and household bills in one place. With read-only Gmail, it finds bill emails from DEWA, SEWA, TAQA Distribution, e&, du, Empower and others, and reads the amount and due date; you can also add any bill by hand. It reminds you three days before a bill is due and shows how this bill compares with earlier ones. When it can confirm a bill email's payment link is the provider's own, a Pay bill button opens that page.

  • Good for: one list and one reminder for bills from every provider, plus your subscriptions.
  • Less good for: paying: it does not pay bills. It is in early access on iPhone with a waitlist, not on the App Store yet.

How to choose

  • You want to pay everything from one app: e& money, or DubaiNow in Dubai and TAMM in Abu Dhabi.
  • You already bank with ADCB or Emirates NBD: their apps pay the main utilities.
  • You want a reminder before every bill, from every provider: Rasid, then pay wherever you like.
  • You only have one provider: its own app (DEWA, du or e&) and auto pay.

FAQ

What is the best app to pay DEWA, du and Etisalat bills together?

e& money names all three among its billers, and so do DubaiNow and the ADCB and Emirates NBD apps. Each needs you to add your account numbers once.

Is there an app that reminds me before my DEWA bill is due?

DEWA's own app lists notifications and reminders. TAMM notifies you of due bills in Abu Dhabi, and e& money of upcoming payments for bills you saved. Rasid reminds you three days before DEWA, SEWA, du and e& bills are due, from their emails.

Can one app remind me about bills from different providers?

Of the apps on this page, Rasid is the one that says it reads bills from several UAE providers' emails and reminds you before each is due. e& money and TAMM notify you about bills you added to them.

Do I need UAE PASS to pay bills in an app?

TAMM asks for UAE PASS or registration in the app. e& money asks for your Emirates ID and mobile number. Bank apps need an account with that bank. Rasid needs no UAE PASS and no bank login.

Does Rasid pay my bills?

No. Rasid reminds you before each bill is due and, when it can confirm the link, opens the provider's own payment page. You pay the provider directly.
