Rasid vs SubTracker

Quick answer
SubTracker is a free manual subscription tracker from a Swiss company that runs in any browser and works in any country; you type subscriptions in. Rasid is an iPhone app for the UAE that finds subscriptions and DEWA, du or Etisalat bills from Gmail and card statements. Choose SubTracker for a hand-kept list anywhere, Rasid for automatic UAE tracking.
The short version
SubTracker and Rasid agree on the big thing: neither asks for a bank login. They differ on how subscriptions get in. SubTracker asks you to enter each one, helped by a library of 180+ services. Rasid reads the billing email, bills and statements you already receive in the UAE. Everything below about SubTracker comes from subtracker.io, opened on 16 October 2026.

How each one gets your subscriptions
SubTracker is honest about its approach. Its home page says it never links to your bank and holds no transaction history: you enter subscriptions yourself. That is slower to set up but very private, and its library of 180+ services fills in a typical price, plan and billing cycle as you type.
Rasid starts from what has already arrived. With your permission it searches Gmail, read-only, for billing mail: receipts, invoices, statements and price notices. It works out the amount and the date, and you confirm each find before it's tracked. Rasid keeps those figures and the sender's domain, not the email's subject or body. If you'd rather not connect Gmail, a spreadsheet, a PDF statement, a screenshot or typing it in all work.
UAE bills and card statements
This is where the two differ most. SubTracker tracks subscriptions; a DEWA or du bill would be a row you add and update yourself. Rasid reads the bill emails that DEWA, SEWA, TAQA Distribution (ADDC), Empower, du and Etisalat (e&) send, and card statements from Emirates NBD, Mashreq, ADCB, FAB, ADIB, RAKBANK and HSBC UAE, then reminds you before each is due.
Reminders and price rises
On SubTracker, renewal reminders, email reminders and price-hike alerts are part of Plus. Its UAE guide says so plainly, and says there is no trial because the free tier is not one.
On Rasid, reminders are included during early access: three days before a renewal, a trial's end or a bill's due date, by default. A price rise appears when the provider, Apple or Google Play emails a new price with a start date.
Where SubTracker is the better choice
- You have subscriptions in several countries. SubTracker's UAE guide makes a good point: many residents pay for services in pounds, euros or rupees from an old account, and a list you keep yourself crosses those borders.
- You want it on any device. It runs in a browser and installs on Android or iPhone without an app store. Rasid is iPhone only for now.
- You want calendar sync, CSV or JSON export, or a shared workspace with roles. SubTracker has them; Rasid doesn't offer calendar sync.
- You want it free, permanently. SubTracker's free plan has unlimited subscriptions with no expiry. Rasid is free during early access, and will say clearly what changes before that ends.
Where Rasid is the better choice
- You don't know everything you pay for. Rasid finds subscriptions in your billing mail; SubTracker can only track what you enter.
- Your biggest bills are UAE utilities and cards. DEWA, SEWA, du and Etisalat bills and UAE card statements are read for you.
- You want reminders without paying. Rasid's are included in early access.
- You want UAE prices to compare. Rasid's Discover tab compares what you pay with each service's own UAE plans, in dirhams, read from the provider's page.
What we couldn't confirm
- Whether SubTracker's 25 currencies include the UAE dirham. Its pages name USD, EUR, GBP and CHF, "and 20+ more".
- How SubTracker detects a price hike for a subscription you entered by hand. Its pages list the alert, not how it works.
