Bobby alternatives: apps like Bobby for tracking subscriptions
Last checked
Quick answer
The best Bobby alternative depends on what you want Bobby to do differently. To have subscriptions found for you without a bank login, Rasid and ReSubs read your billing email in Gmail. For a list you keep yourself, like Bobby, but on Android too, Subby runs on iPhone and Android, and SubTracker and TrackMySubs run in a browser. Orbit imports screenshots and statement files on iPhone. In the US, Rocket Money links your bank and can cancel some subscriptions for you on Premium.
What Bobby is
Bobby, by the Dutch studio Yummygum, has been on the App Store since 30 March 2016. You add each subscription yourself, from a list of services or as your own entry, and Bobby shows your total and reminds you when a payment is due. It is free to download, with one-time in-app packs from USD 0.99, and holds 4.7 out of 5 from about 8,000 ratings on the US App Store.
Why people look for a Bobby alternative
- Nothing is found for you. Every subscription is one you remember and type in. Bobby does not read email or connect to a bank.
- Apple devices only. Its App Store listing names iPhone, iPod touch, Mac and Apple Vision. There is no iPad version, and Bobby's own pages name no Android app.
- Updates have slowed. Its latest version, 3.10.4, came out on 9 December 2025 (Apple's lookup, 26 October 2026).
- Bills are out of scope. Utility bills and card statements are rows you type in and update yourself.
If none of these matter to you, Bobby is a well-made app with a decade behind it and a price you pay once.

The alternatives one by one
Rasid
Finds subscriptions and bills in Gmail, with read-only access and no bank login. It searches only for billing mail, and you confirm each one before it is tracked. It reminds you three days before a renewal, a trial's end or a due date, and shows a price rise when the provider, Apple or Google Play emails it. In the UAE it also reads DEWA, SEWA, du and Etisalat (e&) bills and card statements from seven UAE banks.
- Different from Bobby: it finds subscriptions for you instead of waiting for you to add them.
- Less good for: Android, or anyone who wants nothing to read their mailbox. Rasid is our app, in early access on iPhone. See Rasid vs Bobby.
Subby
The closest to Bobby in spirit: a list you keep yourself, with 600+ brands and totals across 46 currencies. Its site says it "never sees your bank". PRO is a one-time purchase that removes ads and adds screenshot import, cloud backup and widgets.
- Different from Bobby: it runs on Android as well as iPhone.
- Less good for: finding subscriptions you forgot. See Rasid vs Subby.
ReSubs
Finds receipts and renewals in Gmail, and reads screenshots and PDFs. Its App Store listing says "no bank linking required".
- Different from Bobby: it finds subscriptions in your inbox, on iPhone, iPad and Android.
- Less good for: a price you pay once: Premium is sold weekly, monthly, yearly or for life.
Orbit
An iPhone tracker that adds subscriptions from screenshots, CSV files or bank statement files. Its listing says "Everything stays on your device."
- Different from Bobby: it imports a statement file instead of making you type each row.
- Less good for: Android or the web. See Rasid vs Orbit.
SubTracker
A web app that installs on a phone. Its pricing page says "We do not connect to your bank" and that the free plan tracks unlimited subscriptions.
- Different from Bobby: it works on any device with a browser.
- Less good for: reminders on the free plan: renewal and price-hike alerts are on Plus. See Rasid vs SubTracker.
TrackMySubs
A web tracker with CSV import and email alerts before a payment, free for up to 10 subscriptions.
- Different from Bobby: it lives on a computer, with CSV import and export.
- Less good for: a phone-first app, or more than 10 subscriptions for free. See Rasid vs TrackMySubs.
Rocket Money
Links your US bank and card accounts and finds recurring charges. On Premium its team can cancel some subscriptions for you; free users "must cancel them on their own".
- Different from Bobby: it finds subscriptions from your bank transactions, and adds budgeting.
- Less good for: anyone outside the US: its help centre says it is "only available to users located within the United States and with U.S. based banks". See Rocket Money alternatives outside the US.
