Cancel Proton VPN where you pay for it: with Proton. The steps below were checked on proton.me on 20 October 2026.

Steps

  1. Go to account.proton.me, sign in and select any Proton service.
  2. Go to Settings, then All settings, then Subscription.
  3. Scroll down to Cancel subscription and click Continue.
  4. To confirm, click Cancel subscription again.
  5. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period, then moves to Proton Free and does not renew.
  6. Over the Free plan's limits? Some features may stop working.
