Cancel Google One where you pay for it: with Google. The steps below were checked on support.google.com on 20 October 2026.

Steps

  1. On your computer, go to Google One.
  2. Click Settings, then Cancel membership.
  3. To confirm, click Cancel membership. You should get a confirmation.
  4. You keep your storage and benefits until the end of the billing cycle. Then you and your family members are back to the free 15 GB each.
  5. Using more than that? Gmail stops sending and receiving, Drive stops syncing and uploading, and Google Photos stops backing up.
  6. In most countries, Google storage plans are not refundable. Bought through Google Play or the App Store? Ask Google Play or Apple about a refund.
