How to cancel GitHub Copilot in the UAE

Cancel GitHub Copilot where you pay for it: with GitHub. The steps below were checked on docs.github.com on 20 October 2026.

Steps

  1. On GitHub, click your profile picture in the upper-right corner, then Settings.
  2. In the Access section of the sidebar, click Billing & licensing, then Licensing. On the original billing platform, click Billing and licensing, then Plans and usage.
  3. In the GitHub Copilot section, open the Manage subscription dropdown and click Cancel subscription.
  4. Select Cancel Copilot Pro, Cancel Copilot Pro+ or Cancel Copilot Max, whichever you have.
  5. You keep your features until the billing cycle ends, then move to Copilot Free.
  6. Free access as a verified student, teacher or open source maintainer, or access through an organisation or enterprise, cannot be cancelled here.
